Abstract

Each year, high school students conduct Science Investigatory Projects (SIP) and present their work at local science fairs with the hope of qualifying in the national level or even in the International Fair. The National Science and Technology Fair of the Department of Education follows the International Rules and Guidelines for Science Fairs of the Intel ISEF (International Science and Engineering Fair). It is therefore important that science teachers or advisers are familiar with these International guidelines so they can properly guide the students throughout the conduct of SIP. This workshop aims to acquaint participants on Intel ISEF Rules and Guidelines and intensify their knowledge on science research process. Target participants are beginner science advisers and teachers on SIP and other interested educators. The workshop will focus on preparing research plan, writing the final manuscript, and Intel ISEF Rules on researches in the life sciences.
